Man injured on the job from falling object at high-rise site

Workers in the construction industry are in danger of hazards coming from all different directions. These risks can even come from above in the event that a heavy object falls onto a person in a construction accident in California or any other state. One worker experienced this recently when he was injured on the job after something fell on top of him.

The man was working at a construction site at a high-rise construction project when the accident happened. The man was reportedly working on the 21st floor of a building when the incident occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. in early August. The worker's injuries have been classified as traumatic, according to medical reports released to the public. Apparently, the emergency personnel had been performing CPR as he was being transported to a nearby medical facility.

The identity of the victim has yet to be made public. The man is reportedly somewhere in his 30s. Also, there have been no reports regarding other details of the accident, including what type of object might have fallen on the man. However, the Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) did arrive on the scene in order to investigate and gather more information. The victim was reportedly wearing his hard hat at the time of the incident as soon as the immediate danger has passed.

If the man survives the on-the-job injury, he will more than likely be unable to immediately return to work. This can be a financial burden for many in California and other states, especially since workers who have been injured on the job will also have to deal with any medical expenses incurred as a result of an accident. Therefore, it may be a good idea to immediately file for benefits from workers' compensation insurance.
