Man suffers fatal on-the-job injury in a construction accident

A California man is dead after what is presumed to have been an electricity-related worksite accident in San Francisco. He was found unconscious by co-workers and is thought to have suffered the fatal on-the-job injury due to electrocution. He was 45 years old at the time of his death, and the incident is still under investigation by authorities.

The man was working on a structure that was undergoing renovations. He was doing electrical work on a Charles Schwab building at the time of his death, but more information was not immediately available. As the fatality likely occurred as the result of a work-related incident, the victim's surviving dependants could have a rightful claim for California workers' compensation death benefits.

There are many factors that could lead to electrocution on a construction site. In fact, electrical hazards are some of the most common dangers on these worksites. Even experienced and well-trained workers can suffer when there are unmarked hazards, unnecessary dangers or unsafe conditions. Employers should strive to ensure that all workers are properly trained regarding electrical safety. Appropriate safety equipment must also be available.

The workers' compensation process can be complex, and this grieving family may require legal assistance in order to obtain the benefits that they need and deserve. After a work accident or after suffering an on-the-job injury, victims (or survivors of deceased victims) do not have to navigate any part of the claims process alone. Loved ones can get a complete explanation of their rights through a case evaluation with an experienced workers' comp lawyer.
