Industrial worker rights regarding workers’ compensation

On Behalf of | Feb 25, 2015 | Industrial Workers' Accidents |

Do you work in an industrial field and have concerns regarding workers’ compensation? Men and women who work in jobs that require heavy physical labor may face a higher risk for injury because of normal job hazards, but these employees have certain rights in the event of an on-the-job injury. Workers’ compensation benefits apply to all California employees, even those who have high-risk jobs.

Industrial workers may suffer head injuries, back injuries, traumatic brain damage, neck/shoulder damage, broken bones, amputation or even contract serious illnesses related to work conditions. If a worker has suffered from any of the above, he or she is likely eligible for financial support. Additionally, serious burns or chemical exposure on the job are also eligible for compensation.

If you have been told that your claim is not eligible, or your claim has been denied, you still have options. Pre-existing conditions should not affect a workers’ compensation claim, and your employer has an obligation to process a claim within a certain time frame, per California law. If you have been injured at work, you are already facing stress and emotional trauma. There is no reason to face the financial burden and medical bills alone.

We know how hard it is for you and your family after a work injury. It is possible that you have missed work or are unable to return to work, and the financial stress can seem unmanageable. We will fight for the full amount of restitution available to you and explore every possible option. The workers’ compensation process can be complex, but we will navigate it on your behalf.
