Zip line company employee injured on the job

Suffering injuries on the job in California can cause not only physical challenges but also anxiety if a person is unable to return to work to earn a living for a time. One individual recently faced this scenario after he fell from a platform while working for a zip line company. The man was quickly taken to the hospital after being injured on the job.

The fall occurred at about 11 a.m. on a Monday. Police said the 35-year-old employee fell about 50 feet from the zip line. However, company officials said the man actually feel just 25 feet onto a hill and then rolled 50 more feet. The fall occurred when the man was routinely stopping a guest at the end of the company's first zip line.

According to police, the man suffered serious injuries in the fall. Officials thus had to carry him out of the wooded area where the fall happened. He was transported to the hospital via helicopter. However, the company said the worker's injuries were minor. The company said that it had been inspected by an industry association a month prior to the accident and had passed the inspection as it did every year.

The worker who was injured on the job may wish to take advantage of workers' compensation insurance benefits if he cannot return to work for a time due to his injuries. These benefits are designed to cover a portion of an injured employee's wages as well as to make sure that the individual gets the medical treatment he or she needs in California. If the person ends up being denied the benefits for which he or she has applied, this individual has the right to fight for these benefits with the help of proper legal guidance.
