Construction accident kills father of 2

Rescue workers were recently called to the scene of an incident at a busy airport. A man is reported to have died from a construction accident. The contractor was working on a terminal more than three stories up when he fell. This accident did not happen in California, but the potential for a similar accident could happen at any work site.

This accident was reported earlier this month at a busy air terminal. The 59-year-old man was reportedly carrying out routine work on the electrical system of the building when he somehow fell. He tumbled more than three stories before hitting another level of the building. It was not clear how far up the man was actually working.

According to the media reports, the victim was alive when he was transported to a nearby medical facility. However, he succumbed to his critical injuries sometime after his admittance. It is undetermined at this time what may have led to this fatal accident. The man had reportedly been a contractor with a private company for over a dozen years.

Whenever there is a construction accident, there is usually an investigation into whether all safety measures were in place and properly communicated to employees. For employees in California, the workers' compensation insurance program provides monetary assistance to workers who have been injured or have fallen ill on-the-job. This state-regulated benefits program typically helps employees meet their financial obligations while they are unable to work. In the case of this particular worker's fatal accident, his survivors are likely entitled to death benefits from this same program. In this instance, the payments would provide reimbursement for funeral costs and other end-of-life expenses,a s well as provide a lost income package for the deceased worker's covered dependents.
