Hotel contractor injured while working did not survive

In a state far east of California, crowds gathered on the street near the scene of a tragic construction accident. The man who was injured while working did not survive. An official statement regarding the cause of the accident has not yet been released to the public.

The recent Friday tragedy involved a crane that was being used in a construction project where a 35-story hotel is being built. The tragedy occurred just before noon. It was reported that members of the media gathered in the streets to record information as the tragic scene unfolded.

In an eerie coincidence with the recent New York accident, The Wall Street Journal reportedly published a story that suggested that construction accidents have been on the rise in the city. The news story cited another recent tragedy where a pedestrian was killed by a piece of wood that had fallen from a condominium that was undergoing construction at the time. The Journal stated that there are more frequently occurring construction accidents in the city now than there have been since 2008.

It is possible that California workers could be injured while working or pedestrians might suffer injury when passing by a construction zone. Such circumstances might warrant a consultation with a legal professional if the worker believes that his or her injuries have been caused by unsafe working conditions or negligence. A first logical step to take would be to provide an experienced professional with details of the accident so that he or she may assess the case and determine how best to proceed with regard to moving forward in filing a legal claim.
